Introduction
In the book of Judges, we find the fascinating story of Ehud - an unlikely hero who God used to deliver Israel from oppression. This left-handed warrior from the tribe of Benjamin demonstrates how God often works in unexpected ways through unexpected people.

What Makes Someone Qualified for God's Work?
Ehud was considered weak and unqualified by worldly standards. As a left-handed person in ancient times, he was likely viewed as deficient or disabled. Yet God specifically chose him to be Israel's deliverer from the oppressive Moabite king Eglon.

This teaches us an important truth: God qualifies those He calls. Our weaknesses and perceived inadequacies don't disqualify us from being used by Him. In fact, God often deliberately chooses to work through those the world considers weak or foolish.

How Does God Work in Unexpected Ways?
The entire narrative of Ehud's story demonstrates how God's methods often surprise us:

He used the Moabites, a formerly fearful enemy, to discipline Israel
He chose a left-handed man from a "weak" tribe as the deliverer
He turned Ehud's perceived weakness into a strategic advantage
He accomplished victory through unconventional means

What Can We Learn from Ehud's Story?

Like Ehud, Jesus came in an unexpected way and was "despised and rejected by men." He achieved victory through apparent weakness and defeat on the cross. The world didn't esteem Him as a proper savior, yet through His sacrifice He brought deliverance to His people.

Life Application

Consider these questions this week:
- What perceived weaknesses or inadequacies am I allowing to hold me back from serving God?
- Where might God be working in unexpected ways in my life that I'm failing to recognize?
- Am I trusting in my own strength or God's power working through my weakness?

This week, step out in faith to serve God in an area where you feel inadequate. Remember that His power is made perfect in weakness, and He delights in working through unexpected people and circumstances.
