Early Childhood
Our Refuge Kids Early Childhood environment is specially designed for children from six weeks through preschool. We take an active, hands-on approach to learning—with plenty of jumping, singing, dancing, crafts, and laughter—because we believe learning about God should be joyful and engaging. Each week, we help preschoolers understand three core truths: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Elementary
Our goal is to give elementary kids a strong foundation built on three core truths:
I need to make the wise choice (Wisdom), I can trust God no matter what (Faith), and I should treat others the way I want to be treated (Friendship).
During Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings, kids experience both large and small group environments. Large group includes high-energy worship, games, and Bible stories brought to life with costumes, props, and engaging characters. In small groups, kids explore how God’s Word applies to their everyday lives, learn to talk with Him, and build meaningful friendships. Children's Church
Kids ages 4 through 2nd Grade will go learn about God on their level during the sermon portion of our worship service and return before the end of the service while the adults stay in the sanctuary. Children's Church is provided during both our worship services on Sundays.
Sunday School
Family Connect classes (what we call Sunday School) take place on Sunday mornings in the gym. It’s a great opportunity for kids and parents to learn about the Bible together in a casual setting!
Jesus & Me
Kids in Kindergarten-5th Grade will learn more about Jesus in our lives while they participate in an exciting time of music, drama, Bible learning, and games. Enter through the lower doors on the south side of the building for a safe and secure check-in.

At Refuge Church, we’re always excited to welcome new volunteers who have a heart for kids! Students in 6th grade and up are also invited to serve. There are opportunities available on both Sundays and Wednesdays—whether you’d like to help in the classroom, assist with check-in, or be a part of our sub team.
