Refuge Student Ministry

While we're unable to gather and do all the things we're used to doing as a ministry, we are grateful that we have ways to remain connected with students and grow together in our faith!

Wednesday Night Youth Group (Virtual) 6:30PM

Each week we're sharing a prerecorded Vimeo video on our student facebook page and through our Remind app. This serves as our Wednesday Night content-primer; so, students should view before Zoom meeting.  At 6:30PM on Wednesday, we meet virtually through Zoom and split out into video breakout groups for time with our small groups. It's a great time to see and hear everybody! This time is interactive and conversational. We have some games, sometimes prizes, small talk, and then time for prayer and discussing the Bible message of the week. Zoom meeting invites shared through Remind.

GooseChase Homebound Addition

Students, join our 3-day at-home GooseChase game that begins at noon on March 31st and concludes April 3rd at noon. Players complete missions and upload pictures to a player newsfeed. Points are tracked live, and new missions are added every day.

Participants can join the game by following these simple steps:

1. Download the GooseChase iOS or Android app.

2. Choose to play as a guest, or register for a personal account with a username & password of your choice.

3. Search for and select the Refuge Students Homebound Addition game, or search by game code QMVJLX.

4. Follow the prompts to select their team. They will need to enter the access code that their small group leader gives them. If participants need the code, please contact their small group leader or youth pastor, Phillip Roemer

Front Door Visits

Students can sign-up for a front door visit, and the youth pastor will swing on by with their favorite candy and a word of encouragement, while honoring social distancing and remaining outside. Sign up slots are available after the two-week stay at home order. If students need a book to read or a bible devotional, we can hook them up. Students can sign-up for a visit here:

At Home Resources

We celebrate, encourage and equip parents as the primary disciple-makers of their kids! Now is a great time to start some new family discipleship routines. Read the bible and talk about it as a family. Spend time praying together each day. If you're not sure where to start, here are couple great resources that might be some help--and they're free at this time!
